People Operations Coordinator – Hybrid – Montreal

About The Role:

Join Valsoft Corporation as our People Operations Coordinator, a pivotal role in managing systems, providing support to HR Leads and enhancing our organizational structure. This role will report to the People Operations Lead. You will be responsible for managing HRIS and systems that integrate with it, providing support for HR integrations for newly acquired businesses and conducting reports and data analysis within existing systems. This role offers an exciting opportunity to shape and roll out best practices in organizational structure, system management, exposure to global businesses and ability to identify areas to improve employee experience and processes.

The successful candidate will ideally be based in Montreal, participating in a hybrid setting that combines remote work and in-office presence at our location in Saint-Laurent.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Support HR Integration lead and project manager in integrating newly acquired businesses.
  • Participate in HRIS systems implementation activities including configuration, documentation, testing, and project review sessions.
  • Assist the global HR and People Ops team in the development and implementation of Human Resources policies, procedures, and programs.
  • Identify opportunities to improve the employee experience and streamline processes.
  • Apply strong analytical skills to interpret and analyze trends and metrics (e.g., hiring statistics, employee surveys, attrition information) to develop data-infused solutions.
  • Monitor and respond to end-user requests regarding system complications or malfunctions through our ticketing system.
  • Maintain accuracy of employee information on BambooHR.
  • Maintain document management structure and ensure ongoing organization of information and documentation.
  • Conduct comprehensive reports and data analysis using data from HRIS, ATS and other systems.
  • Facilitate live learning sessions centered around training of new and existing systems.

What You Bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, or a related field.
  • At least 2 years of experience in BambooHR, a similar HRIS system, or relevant IT experience.
  • Strong proficiency in the Microsoft Office environment and specifically of Excel.
  • Strong technical background, with ability to learn and adapt new technologies & systems.
  • Focus on reporting, with ability to produce and analyze data.
  • Passion and eagerness to learn about, design, and implement innovative solutions.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to communicate with internal clients and stakeholders, work closely together as part of a team and lead teams and project deliverables, in English. Fluency in other languages is considered an asset.
  • Ability to think analytically and with a big-picture perspective; anticipate downstream impacts to system changes.
  • Adaptability and ability to support our fast-growing workplace.
  • Ability to manage multiple competing priorities with a high level of service and professionalism.
  • Familiarity with Systems (ATS, Document Signing, Compensation Analysis, Employer Engagement) and ability to learn/adapt to various technology.
  • Experience in facilitating both small and large training sessions, with good presentation skills.
  • Ability to align individual and departmental plans with strategic business objectives.
  • Continuous learning attitude and strong relationship-building skills.
